After a busy week, the Year 7 and 8 Quad athletics team travelled to Wolverhampton University to represent Sandwell in the Black Country Games.  With over 600 students present the day was a major event.  The competition consisted of a 100m sprint, long jump, javelin throw and 4x100m relay.  The event was aimed at students with physical and learning difficulties.  The team consisted of Ryan Elkins, Codie Paige Ellsmore, Josephina Clark and Jordan Bateman.

After 3 events the scores were very close and the competition came down to the 4x100m relay.  The team produced an amazing display to win by 20 metres, with Ryan Elkins anchoring the team on the last leg.  As a result, the Forge Quad athletics team are the Black Country Games Champions for 2015.  The team have been through two previous rounds of competition to get this far so they have all done incredibly well.  Please congratulate them on a superb effort.
